Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Torq Tribe ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in three primary ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. We use Supabase Auth for secure identity management.
- Profile & Physical Data: To generate personalized workouts, we collect data you voluntarily enter, including your workout goals, available equipment, logged injuries, and fitness preferences.
- Workout Logs: We track your history, streaks, and gamification points ("Embers").
- Communications: Information you provide when contacting customer support.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Device & Usage Data: We may collect data such as your IP address, device type, mobile carrier, user settings, and interaction events (e.g., screens viewed, buttons tapped). We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to monitor performance and crashes.
C. Information from Third Parties
- Purchase Data: If you purchase a premium subscription, we receive purchase metadata from the Apple App Store, processed via RevenueCat, to verify your subscription status. We do not collect or store your actual credit card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following business purposes:
- To Provide the Services: Creating and managing your account, delivering AI-generated workout plans, and tracking your fitness progress.
- AI Processing: Your profile data and workout history are processed by our AI systems (locally on-device or via secure cloud APIs) to synthesize your routines. We do not use your personal data to train public AI models.
- Administrative Purposes: Debugging errors, detecting security incidents, and analyzing app usage to improve feature sets.
Note: We do not sell your personal data or use information gathered in the health and fitness context for targeted advertising or data-mining.
3. How We Disclose Your Information
We only share your information with trusted third-party service providers acting on our behalf, or as required by law.
- Service Providers: We share data with infrastructure partners that power our App, such as Supabase (Database/Auth), RevenueCat (Subscriptions), and Firebase (Analytics/Crash Reporting).
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to comply with law enforcement, subpoenas, or to protect the safety and rights of Torq Tribe or its users.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction.
4. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your data:
- Access & Correction: You can view and edit most of your profile information directly within the App settings.
- Push Notifications: You can opt out of push notifications at any time via your iOS device settings.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active to provide the Services. You may request the full deletion of your account and associated data by utilizing the "Delete Account" feature within the App settings, or by emailing us directly. Once an account is deleted, your historical workout data cannot be recovered.
5. Security of Your Information
We implement appropriate technical safeguards (such as encryption and secure third-party databases) to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute data security.
6. Children's Information
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, we will take steps to promptly delete such data.
7. Supplemental Notice for California Residents (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We collect Identifiers (emails), Commercial Information (subscriptions), and Internet/Network Activity. We do not "sell" personal information as defined by the CCPA.
