This Privacy Policy explains how Torq Tribe (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile app and related services (the “Service”).
Torq Tribe provides general fitness information only. It is not medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise program.
1) Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: (a) information you provide, (b) information generated by your use, and (c) information from third-party integrations.
1A) Information you provide
- Account Information: We use Supabase Auth to authenticate your account. We store your email and user ID.
- Profile Data: You may enter data such as workout goals, available equipment, injuries, and preferences to personalize your plan.
1B) Information generated by your use
- Workout History: We store logs of your completed workouts, streaks, and "Embers" (gamification points).
- AI Interactions: When you request a workout plan, we process your profile data to generate a response.
1C) Integrations
- Apple HealthKit: If you grant permission, we read/write data (such as workouts and weight) to Apple Health. This data is used solely to track your progress and improve plan accuracy. We do not sell HealthKit data.
2) How we use AI & Data Processing
Torq Tribe uses artificial intelligence to generate workout plans and provide coaching.
- Processing Location: We utilize a hybrid approach. Some AI features may be processed locally on your device (using technologies like Apple Intelligence™) for speed and efficiency. Other complex tasks may be processed on secure cloud servers.
- Data Usage: We do not use your personal workout data to train public AI models. Your data is used to generate your specific plans.
3) How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (like Supabase for database hosting) to operate the app.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law.
4) Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request full account deletion by contacting support or using the delete option in the app settings.
